NFL Power Rankings Week 10: Kansas City Chiefs Still Hovering Around Top Ten

We're into Week 10 of the NFL season and it's Tuesday which means it's time to talk power rankings. Naturally, with a loss to the Oakland Raiders, we can expect a Kansas City Chiefs drop in the rankings. While we did drop in virtually every ranking I've come across so far, the fall hasn't been too harsh.

Seems like most (sane) people are ranking the Chiefs in the 12ish spot. There are eight 6-win teams in the NFL right now, which means probably the highest ranking we could expect for KC would be ninth. I think we all agree that would be a bit high now.

Here are what some of the media outlets are saying about the Chiefs today:

FOX Sports Power Rankings: 12 (9) That was a tough loss against the division rival Raiders last week. They actually almost won a game in which their outstanding rushing attack was controlled. The Chiefs have no margin for error now that the Chargers are starting to move up the AFC West ladder.

Walter Football Power Rankings: 18 (14)

NESN.com: 13 When is a win not really a win? When you need 75 minutes to beat the Bills at home.

SBN Arizona: 12 (10) Losing on the road at Oakland and blowing a lead in doing it is tough, so the mettle of this team will be tested. They've got four winnable games coming up (@ Denver, v. Arizona, @ Seattle, v. Denver).

Drop links to other rankings as you come across them.
