The AFC West watch is on.
The San Diego Chargers trail the Houston Texans 20-14 at the end of the first half. The Chargers, 3-5, are in must-win mode if they're going to keep up with the 5-2 (soon to be 6-2?) Chiefs.
The Texans were screwed -- yes, screwed -- out of a touchdown at the end of their final drive of the first half. On a third down with less than a minute remaining, the Texans sat inside their own 10-yard line and QB Matt Schaub hit RB Arian Foster for what we thought was a clear touchdown pass.
The refs disagreed and said he didn't complete the act of the touchdown -- or the Calvin Johnson Rule. So the Texans hold a 20-14 lead instead of a 24-14 lead.
Other notable scores: Browns lead Patriots 17-7, Falcons lead Bucs, 17-14 and Cardinals lead Vikings 14-10.
Just a few more hours to the Chiefs game...
