The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders get set for the action in Week 9. We know both teams are very strong in the rushing game and we know both are capable of stopping the run. The Chiefs are coming off of two consecutive victories while the Raiders have won three of four including the last two by over 70 total points.
Chiefs go over 200 yards rushing. The Chiefs have gone over 200 yards rushing in each of the last three games. The Raiders run defense isn't bad but I expect KC to run it and run it in the rain today.
Matt Cassel throws an interception. All good streaks have to come to an end at some time. Cassel hasn't thrown a pick in four games, which is a career high. Today that comes to an end to a talented Raiders secondary.
Chiefs go +1 in turnover margin. The Chiefs have been excellent with turnovers this year and I expect that to continue on Sunday, despite my interception prediction. Defense creates two turnovers and the offensive gives up one.
Total score is less than 40 points. The over/under on the game is 41 points but I'm taking the under. The Chiefs will rush the ball well but neither team will go crazy on offense keeping the total score of both teams below 40 points.
Chiefs win. I'll go with 20-16 as the final score with the Chiefs taking their 8th in a row in Oakland.
