Chiefs vs. Raiders: Tom Cable Talks KC

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable has been talking Kansas City Chiefs this week. Cable's Raiders have played pretty incredible the last two weeks putting up 59 and 33 points, both victories. You can view video of his press conferences at the Raiders official site. After watching Tom Cable's press conferences -- and seeing the Raiders last two wins -- I'm afraid to say that Oakland may be on the right track. We'll see but Cable seems to be doing a lot of things right.

Here are a few quotes I plucked out of his news conferences this week.

On Chiefs passing game....

"They spread it out a little bit but when you think big play, when you think down the field, it's Bowe. The tight end, though, has become a favorite target as well."

What they need to do better....

"We have to continue to do better on third down offensively and better in the red zone offensively. Then the penalties are still lingering out there. Those are the things that I would say we've got to have some imrpovement as we go onto Kansas City game. The things that have to carry over are probably just he way we're playing for each other, The focus [and] attention to detail. The real fundamental things about the game."

On Friday's practice....

"We were loose. We got done what we needed to get done. I think we're very excited."

On the 2010 Raiders resurgence...

"It's been coming. It's not necessarily a shock to anyone inside here. I think I've said all along, I feel different about this team."
