The Kansas City Chiefs injury report looks similar to it did last week with a safety swapped out. The Chiefs have three players listed as questionable: G Ryan Lilja, WR Dexter McCluster and S Kendrick Lewis.
Lilja apears on track to play after practicing in full all week with a hand injury. McCluster and Lewis' status are more uncertain. McCluster has an ankle injury and Lewis is battling a hamstring injury. Initial reports on McCluster suggested he would be out for multiple weeks while Bob Gretz reports on CBS Sports that Lewis is likely to be inactive.
How about the Raiders? They're expected to be missing two important pieces.
CB Nnamdi Asomugha and TE Zach Miller are both listed as doubtful which means they're very unlikely to play. Asomugha's absence could be big for the Chiefs (if they pass the ball) as he's on Brandon Flowers' level one of the best in the league. Miller's one of Oakland's best offensive threats so that gives the Chiefs more opportunities to focus on shutting down the run.
I don't see injuries being a big factor for the Chiefs. They were missing Lilja and McCluster last week and did just fine without them so I think they'll be OK even if all the guys above can't make it. For the Raiders though....losing Asomugha and Miller would hurt.
Any chance Asomugha's absence has the Chiefs passing more on Sunday?
