Chiefs Coach Todd Haley Not Touching Josh McDaniels Question

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Denver Broncos on Sunday but after the non-handshake two and a half weeks ago this game to many fans will be Todd Haley vs. Josh McDaniels. I imagine Haley and the Chiefs will do everything they can to downplay that aspect of the upcoming game but it'll be there.

Haley started the week off early getting the McDaniels question. On Monday, a reporter asked him if the SpyGate II business was the reason he didn't shake the hand of the Broncos coach in the first place. Via KCChiefs.com:

"I am going to stay out of that. I will save more Denver for Wednesday but it will be strictly about us getting ready to play our biggest game of the year. We need to play our best game of the year. That is what the focus is on. I am completely out of it. I am going to enjoy yesterday’s win for two more hours because that was a great win for us, a great win. Then we are going to get back to business which is winning our biggest game of the year."

He'll be asked again on Wednesday at his weekly press conference and I imagine the answer will be pretty similar.

No matter what Haley says, I'll choose to believe that this game does mean a little something extra for him. I can only hope that he's put in the same position as McDaniels: To try and run the score up or not?
