We've got even more Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots connections and comparisons. You already know of the obvious ones -- GM Scott Pioli, OC Charlie Weis, DC Romeo Crennel, QB Matt Cassel, LB Mike Vrabel, etc -- but now we've got another one courtesy of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Fortune has an excellent profile on Patriots owner Robert Kraft and it includes a this tidbit from Jones:
"I view Bob like I do Lamar Hunt, one of the founders of the league," says Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys. "I don't know that we have anybody that today has made that kind of contribution to the NFL franchise."
I like hearing things like this because at my age I don't know how Hunt was viewed years ago and there's only so much you can understand through reading about his contributions. I do know, however, how much Robert Kraft is respected around the league and the contributions he's made in the last decade-plus.
It's good to hear that Lamar Hunt's legacy forges on.
Even for Chiefs fans the profile on Robert Kraft is worth a read.
