Now this is fitting.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Seattle Seahawks in the same week that Notre Dame will face USC. Why does that matter you ask?
Well, it doesn't really. But for Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, it's a chance to beat Pete Carroll. Weis was of course the coach at Notre Dame from 2005-09 while Carroll was at USC from 2001-09. Carroll is now the Seahawks head coach.
Weis was 0-5 against Carroll during their ND vs. USC careers but none more famous than the Bush Push.
There are former ND and USC guys all over the place in this one -- LB Corey Mays, WR Golden Tate, TE John Carlson, QB Matt Cassel and WR Mike Williams, to name a few.
We'll see if Charlie Weis can do what he couldn't do at Notre Dame -- beat Pete Carroll.
