Chiefs Exit Cardinals Game With A Few More Injury Questions

The Kansas City Chiefs entered Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals missing two key players due to injury and left the game with two more key players missing due to injury.

The Chiefs were able to cope with the loss of TE Tony Moeaki as TE Jake O'Connell (out of nowhere) added 24 receiving yards and drew a 15-yard penalty. Likewise with WR Dexter McCluster whose presence wasn't missed as the Chiefs put up 30 points.

There were two players that left the game due to injury.

LT Brandon Albert suffered a hip injury but it didn't look to be too serious as he was up and walking around on the sideline after that. G Brian Waters told us after the game that he has "100 percent complete confidence" in OT Barry Richardson should he need to step in on the left side. CB Brandon Flowers left with a hamstring injury and we're not sure what his status is. Losing Flowers of course would be a significant blow.

Neither player was seen in the locker room after the game (which is standard for injured players).

The Chiefs have handled injuries pretty well this year and generally have more reliable depth than at any time in the last two years. Putting up 30-plus points with two key offensive players missing is impressive.

We'll find out on Wednesday if these guys are in practice condition or not.
