Chiefs Vs. Cardinals: Beanie Wells, Third Down And Matt Cassel

Good morning Kansas City Chiefs fans!

I've been catching up on some Arizona Cardinals news and wanted to drop a few random thoughts on the game here this morning. It's a bit Arrowheadlines, some advice and other thoughts.

RB Beanie Wells will play. The second year running back has been bothered lately by a knee injury he sustained in the preseason. But everyone says Beanie Wells is ready to go against the Kansas City Chiefs today. Fantasy owners and Chiefs fans, take note. Wells and Tim Hightower will see most of the carries, with a couple of the other Cardinal running backs dinged up.

Watch the Cardinals on 3rd down. The Arizona Cardinals are 31st in the NFL in third down conversions. They only complete 29.1% of their third down attempts, which is 2008 Chiefs-esque. Pay attention to the Cardinals' third downs early. If the Chiefs stop them right off the bat, this could be a long, long day for the Arizona offense.

A chance for redemption for the KC secondary. The Chiefs' secondary got torched last week. This week, against Larry Fitzgerald and a rather weak AZ offense, the Chiefs' secondary absolutely, must shut down the Arizona passing game. If they do that, there is basically no way that Arizona will be able to move the football.

What does a good game from Matt Cassel look like? It seems like nobody on AP can decide what a good game for Matt Cassel is. Is it a win? Is it big stats? Is it leadership? Will it be any clearer after today's noon-time game?

What's on your mind this morning as you get ready for the game?
