So you know by now that Randy Moss has been released by the Minnesota Vikings. That's caused the fan base of nearly every team to request -- nay, demand! -- that their team claim Moss off of waivers. We're coming up on nearly 4,000 votes in our poll and 59 percent of you think the Chiefs should sign him, 33 percent say don't sign him and another seven percent aren't sure.
I've expressed my feelings on it as has Chris -- we don't think it's happening. At least not in KC. Sure, we wouldn't complain if it happened but we just don't think it's something the Chiefs would go for.
The Chiefs will review every player available so they've looked at Moss. I'm sure GM Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley have sat down and talked about it. It could have been a short conversation or it could have been a long conversation but they've talked about it.
Moss will reportedly officially be waived on Tuesday meaning he wouldn't be claimed by anyone until Wednesday at the earliest.
There are some folks who have KC on the short list of possible destinations including ESPN's Adam Schefter and John Clayton. On the surface, Moss makes sense in KC. Digging a little deeper, I'm not sure that he does.
It's not like it matters either. The Chiefs are near the bottom on the waiver wire and someone will claim him, right?
