Last week the Kansas City Chiefs signed S Ricky Price off the practice squad because of injuries to S Kendrick Lewis and S Jon McGraw. They released LB Charlie Anderson to make room for Price, then LB Mark Simoneau was placed on IR, opening an active roster spot for Anderson's return.
Price's promotion, however, left an open spot on the practice squad, which will be taken by LB Eric Bakhtiari, the Chiefs announced on Thursday.
Bakhtiari is an outside linebacker that went undrafted out of the University of San Diego. He spent time on the practice squad of the Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers.
Bakhtiari (pronounced bock-TAR-ee) comes from most recently the Miami Dolphins, who signed him last week only to release him this week.
Here's how the practice squad looks now: Bakhtiari, DE/DT Dion Gales, QB Tyler Palko, WR Quinten Lawrence, G Daryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, T Bobby Greenwood and LB Pierre Walters.
