Chiefs Head Coach Todd Haley Headlines KC-Arizona Connections

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley is the big connection this week with the Arizona Cardinals. Haley was the offensive coordinator in Arizona and his work there helped him move onto Kansas City as head coach.

There are a few KC-Arizona connection including a couple of assistant coaches and a handful of players. Did any of you know Tyler Palko has a brother on the Arizona staff? Me neither.

• Chiefs head coach Todd Haley served as the OC for two seasons with the Cardinals (2007-08).
• Kansas City assistant head coach Maurice Carthon coached at Arizona (2007-08).
• Chiefs DBs coach Emmitt Thomas coached with the Cardinals (1981-85) while the club was in St. Louis.
• Kansas City area scout Aundrae Harris interned with Arizona (2007) and is a native of Phoenix, Arizona.
• Chiefs RB Tim Castille (2007-08), RB Thomas Jones (2000-02) and TE Leonard Pope (2006-08) all played with the Cardinals.
• Kansas City DT Shaun Smith spent time with Arizona in 2004.
• Cardinals LB Reggie Walker played collegiately at Kansas State.
• Arizona G/C Rex Hadnot is the cousin of former Kansas City RB James Hadnot (1980-83).
• Kansas City practice squad QB Tyler Palko is the brother of Arizona scout Luke Palko.
• Arizona assistant trainer Jeff Herndon attended Missouri.
