For the third consecutive week the Kansas City Chiefs open the week with just three players on the practice report. We've got two familiar names and a new one as we open Denver Broncos week.
S Kendrick Lewis and WR Dexter McCluster were both limited in practice on Wednesday as they were last week, per Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com. Lewis was absent from the Chiefs Week 9 game against the Oakland Raiders with a hamstring injury. He was also listed on the injury report in Week 6 and 7 with a hamstring injury. McCluster has been out two consecutive weeks after injuring his ankle in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bob Gretz of BobGretz.com reports Lewis appears ahead of McCluster if practice reps matter (and Gretz has other good nuggets from practice).
G Brian Waters is a new addition to the injury report with a shoulder injury. He hasn't seen the injury report since his late start to training camp. You don't see a lot of guys, even veterans, getting a day off with Todd Haley so we'll see what's up with Waters.
Coming off the injury report from last week is G Ryan Lilja, who has a hand injury.
We'll see this week if the Chiefs keep their trend of just three injured players.
