We'll go through a bunch of the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts connections this week but here's a good Tennessee Volunteers connection:
Eric Berry vs. Peyton Manning.
Both are from UT, though 12 years apart, so the topic was brought up when Berry made an appearance on 680 The Fan in Atlanta (H/T jmcgoblue) this week. Here's what Berry said:
"I brought my DVDs with me, the coach cutups of their plays. I was watching it on the plane. I'm going to watch some more today. I'm trying to get ready for him in any type of way. We have a big challenge in Peyton, man. Growing up, watching him, seeing how he can pick apart a defense...we just know we have a big challenge and we've gotta make sure we're ready."
Berry will have his hands full, that's for sure. Manning understands the weaknesses in a defense so, if Berry not on top of his game, he'll pay for it.
