The Kansas City Chiefs continue to be on top of the AFC West after the first eight weeks of the season. The Chiefs have a major divisional showdown next week against....the Oakland Raiders? Yeah that's how wacky the AFC West is these days.
The AFC West went 3-1 on Sunday. The Denver Broncos fell to the San Francisco 49ers in London, 24-16. The San Diego Chargers outlasted the Tennessee Titans, 33-25.
And then there's the Raiders. The laughingstock of the AFC West? Maybe not. One week after hanging 59 on the Broncos, the Raiders posted a 33-3 victory over the Seahawks. Um. Are the Raiders for real?
The Chiefs continue to lead the AFC West and the standings make next Sunday's trip to the Black Hole even bigger.
Here are the AFC West standings through Week 8:
1. Chiefs (5-2)
2. Raiders (4-4)
3. Chargers (3-5)
4. Broncos (2-6)
