The Kansas City Chiefs are up by a touchdown on the Buffalo Bill this afternoon. After a scoreless first quarter, the Chiefs essentially let Jamaal Charles run the ball into the end zone on their final drive of the first half. Charles has over 130 total yards. He has 86 yards on the ground and 45 in the air, plus a near touchdown. Dwayne Bowe nabbed his first TD of the game after a long Charles' run.
Despite the slow start, it seems like the Bills' weaknesses are starting to show. How can Buffalo stop the Chiefs' rushing attack in the second half? I don't think it can. Especially with Matt Cassel making plays in the passing game. I know most people will first think of Cassel lofting a pass over the head of an open Jamaal Charles. But Cassel is playing much better than that, despite a couple of clear mistakes.
The Chiefs' defense is playing a great game as well. Quarterback pressure, tipped passes....The Chiefs' D is looking really good. LB Andy Studebaker himself has one sack plus another near sack at the end of the half. I would be shocked if the Chiefs don't force a Buffalo turnover in the second half.
I think the Chiefs take over in a big way in the second half. I'm sticking with my prediction of a Chiefs' win by 20+ points.
