Bills vs. Chiefs: Dexter McCluster Still Limited By Ankle Injury

Various media outlets including Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star and Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com have reported that Kansas City Chiefs WR/RB Dexter McCluster was on the stationary bike and not participating in practice in the time the media was allowed to view practice on Friday.

That's three straight days of limited (or less) practice for McCluster which would suggest he's not likely to play on Sunday.

Nick Wright of 610 Sports reported on Thursday night that McCluster has a high ankle sprain. That type of injury could keep him sidelined for several weeks. It's a tough injury that simply needs time to heal and it's especially tough on a skill position like McCluster who needs his ankles to make cuts that break other people's ankles.

The Chiefs will issue their final injury report on Friday afternoon and it sounds like we shouldn't count on McCluster.

Wright also reported Thursday that Lilja has a broken hand thumb but is expected to play. Check out Babb's KC Star story for a Lilja update.
