The San Diego Chargers will have a little bit of help figuring out the Kansas City Chiefs defense when the two teams meet in Week 13.
LB David Herron signed with the Chargers. If you're a hardcore Chiefs fan, that name will sound familiar as one of the Chiefs special teams players last year. If you're not, he was a reserve linebacker that played 10 games for the Chiefs last year.
Herron played in 10 games with the Chiefs last year and spent the offseason on the Chiefs roster practicing under Romeo Crennel.
The Chiefs already have one of the league's best special teams units and Herron was primarily a special teamer that was released. The Chargers on the other hand have one of the league's worst special teams unit.
Perhaps San Diego could use a bit of the Chiefs special teams influence. It's always interesting to see players sign with multiple teams in one division, even if it just a special teamer.
Also, before you ask, yes, it's a slow news day....
