I've just gotten word that it will indeed be Todd Bouman starting for the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon.
The Jacksonville QB situation is an ugly. Here's a quick look at it:
QB David Garrard: Out with a concussion suffered last week. He's inactive today.
QB Trent Edwards: He is the No. 2 QB but will be the No. 3 QB's backup today. He suffered a thumb injury last week and it appears he'll only be used if needed.
QB Todd Bouman: Get ready for his first regular season pass for the first time since 2005. He'll face a loud stadium and a sound Chiefs defense. Not a good combination for him.
QB Patrick Ramsey: He was signed this week and is listed as the emergency QB this week.
Of all positions to have this much trouble, quarterback is the worst. Things are lining up nicely for the Chiefs. Now they just need to capitalize on the Jaguars troubles.
