Jaguars vs. Chiefs: Five Pregame Predictions Include Shutting Down MJD

The Kansas City Chiefs enter Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as nine or 10 point favorites depending on where you look. There are plenty of reasons KC should win this game and I'm here to predict a few reasons why.

Here are my five pregame predictions. Leave yours in the comments.

Maurice Jones-Drew will not pass 100 yards rushing. The Chiefs rush defense is too strong plus the Jags QB situation makes it unlikely they're going to be throwing it 40+ times this game. The Chiefs can focus on MJD and shut him down. Sorry, fantasy football.

The Chiefs win the turnover battle +2. The Chiefs are protecting the ball very well so I can see them hanging onto the ball today. The Jags are bringing in the second or third QB so they're going to have some slipups and the Chiefs will get a pair of turnovers.

The Chiefs will record three or more sacks. The Chiefs should be able to tee off on these quarterbacks. I think the Chiefs will want to blitz, put pressure on the QB, and dare him to beat guys like Brandon Flowers or Brandon Carr.

The Chiefs will create over 400 yards of offense. That's a big number, especially for this team, but I think we're looking at another day when the rushing attack and the passing game is really going well. Dare the Jags to stop the run and then Matt Cassel will make them pay at least one time for doing that. I want to predict a big day for Dwayne Bowe but he's been too inconsistent to predict something like that.

The Chiefs will win. Yep, I'm predicting it. I'll go with 24-10 Chiefs.
