Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com talked with Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli this week on the Hy-Vee Chiefs Insider show that will air Sunday morning before the Jacksonville Jaguars game. KCChiefs.com has the interview posted and Looney had a good question that I think most of us do wonder:
What's a typical week like for Scott Pioli?
"Mondays and Tuesdays after the game I'm generally in the office," Pioli said. "Depending on the situation and the game, and how the game went on Sunday, and depending on the number of injuries we had or didn't have, that will dictate how much time I have out of the office.
"This is a great time of year. When you hit October, it's a great time. Conference schedules begin and it's a great time to get out to college campuses and see players as the season is starting. It's the middle of the season for them.
"So the last couple weeks I've been out on the road. I got to hit a couple of Midwest schools in the last week, and then the league meetings so it's a little bit of everything. Last Tuesday I was in Chicago for a day, then Wednesday and Thursday I was in two different college campuses then back here on Friday to leave with the team to go to Houston Saturday so there's a lot going on this time of year."
Sounds like a packed schedule.
I wonder which schools he was visiting last week.
