Jaguars vs. Chiefs: Tyson Jackson Expects To Play

It's been quite the season for Kansas City Chiefs DE Tyson Jackson and not necessarily in a good way. He has a decent training camp and then injures his knee Week 1 against the San Diego Chargers. The injury was originally reported to keep him out for 1-2 weeks but that's obviously not the case.

Here we sit entering Week 7 and Jackson has yet to see the field since he exited that Week 1 game. That may be changing this week.

Bob Fescoe of 610 Sports writes via Twitter that Jackson tells him he expects to play Sunday but will likely wear a knee brace.

That's good news for the Chiefs getting healthy. We've been wondering how Jackson will be worked back into the lineup with DE Shaun Smith playing well in his absence. Some coaches have the 'You don't lose your job to injury' philosophy -- lookin' at you in January 1998, Marty -- while others play the hot hand.

As for which quarterback Jackson will be trying to sack if he does indeed play, that's up in the air. David Garrard is at home resting again today so it would appear he's not likely to play.
