Chiefs Depth Chart: Who Fills In For Chris Chambers And Kendrick Lewis?

Yesterday we passed along the word that Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Chambers and S Kendrick Lewis made surprises appearances on Friday's injury report. Chambers is questionable with a finger injury and Lewis has a hamstring issue.

Neither one was on Wednesday or Thursday's injury reports. With there is technically a 50/50 chance for Chambers and Lewis to play, who takes their spots if they can't? (For the record, I think they will both play but this is a good time to review this scenario)

In the case of the wide receivers, Terrance Copper and Jeremy Horne are the next two guys on the Kansas City Chiefs depth chart. Copper snagged his only two catches of the season last week against the Indianapolis Colts. He had not even been targeted by Matt Cassel until that game. He's mainly a special teams guy so don't think he's a fantasy football pick up or anything like that.

The case of Kendrick Lewis and the Chiefs' safeties is a bit tricker. Lewis is listed behind Jon McGraw on the free safety depth chart. If Lewis can't go on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will only have three safeties on the roster. Donald Washington is one, and of course Eric Berry. Reshard Langford, the other Chiefs' safety, hasn't practiced all week with an ankle injury. He will not play on Sunday.

These roster changes are all theoretical of course. I'm pretty sure we'll see Chris Chambers on the field on Sunday but I'm not sure about Lewis. A hamstring is a more hampering injury if you will. So we'll see. Game time is at 12 PM central time tomorrow. The open thread will be up a little bit before that.
