NFL Power Rankings Week 6: KC Chiefs Don't See A Big Drop

The Kansas City Chiefs didn't see a big drop in the Week 6 edition of power rankings coming out despite Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Here's a tally of a few of the big NFL power rankings out there today. If you're power rankings obsessed, I'll be gathering all the rankings at SB Nation Kansas City throughout the day.

  • SB Nation 15 (10): How far should the Chiefs drop after taking the Colts to the wire? Peyton Manning said that Chiefs defense was pretty good. I think that defense can carry them to a few more wins this season.
  • CBS Sports 16 (9): "After losing for the first time, it won't get any easier this week at Houston. But Matt Cassel has to do more. He just doesn't make enough plays down the field."
  • Sporting News 12 (9): "Give them props for hanging with Indy. Now they have another chance at validation—and victory—at Houston."
  • FOX Sports 12 (9): "Give Kansas City credit for playing a very competitive game during last week's loss at the Colts. The defensive improvement over last year has been very impressive so far. But at some point, the Chiefs won't be able to hide QB Matt Cassel."

Looks like most had them around 10 last week and are dropping them 2-5 spots. I think that's about right. A win against Houston next week and the Chiefs will be back in the top 10 I'd imagine.
