Indianapolis has been good to Ryan Lilja. The former Colts guard, now with the Kansas City Chiefs, won plenty of regular season games, playoff games and even a Super Bowl while with the Colts.
This offseason he left was cut in Indy and signed with the Chiefs. He admitted at one point that he had this game circled for a while.
But that doesn't mean he left Indy under bad terms.
Not according to the video montage remembering Lilja's career in Indy the Colts played on the jumbotron during the Chiefs game on Sunday.
The Kansas City Star says it ended with these words: "Thanks for the Memories."
Lilja told the Star that it was a "nice gesture" from the Colts.
That's a pretty cool gesture and I think something that says a lot of about Ryan Lilja, the way his teammates view him and why he's now a Chief.
