Weis Not Saying Anything Until Chiefs Hiring is Official

We're moving closer to the Kansas City Chiefs officially announcing the arrival of Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator.

Yesterday, Chiefs head coach Todd Haley wouldn't directly answer whether Weis would be joining the Chiefs staff.

Weis apparently got the memo and isn't saying anything either.

"Until a deal is done, I really can't say anything," Weis told Chris Mortensen from his home in South Bend.

"It's not to be disrespectful of you or the Chiefs. I just think it's really, really important for me, especially with the prospect of there being a relationship there, to make sure I handle this properly."

Mortensen's report indicated a deal would be announced in 24-48 hours.
