Arrowhead Stadium Ranks 25th in the NFL?

Back in December, the fine site Stadium Journey took a look at Arrowhead when the Chiefs took on the Broncos. Arrowhead was one of the final stops on their 31-stadium journey where they rated each team's home ground on the quality of the food and beverages, the atmosphere, neighborhood, fans, access, return on investment and a few miscellaneous features.

Here's how Arrowhead Stadium ranked on a scale from 1 to 5 in each of these categories:

  • Food & Beverage: 5
  • Atmosphere: 4
  • Neighborhood: 2
  • Fans: 3
  • Access: 4
  • Return on Investment: 4
  • Etc.: 3

Not bad, huh? I understand the low rankings for neighborhood because, well, there isn't one around Arrowhead. I can also forgive the low rating on fans because this past December wasn't exactly the most rocking time in Arrowhead's history to see a game.

Apparently these scores are only good enough for 25th in the NFL. Click over for more tidbits about Stadium Journey's list, including what stadium they ranked #1 in the NFL.

The Edward-Jones Dome in St. Louis came in at the bottom of the list, which makes complete sense. St. Louis is not known for any particular type of food. Rams "fans" are just that - "fans." So they got that one right.

But come on! Arrowhead at #25?

Stadium Journey's #1 stadium makes me question their football purity - They have Lucas Oil Stadium as the #1 NFL stadium! It's a dome people. A dome. No weather. Literally no atmosphere. It's in Indianapolis no less, which just can't get enough of their domes.

This clip from Wayne's World sums up my feelings about being magically whisked away to Lucas Oil Stadium:

Hi...I'm in Lucas Oil Stadium. Geez.
