Former Chiefs QB Thigpen Getting a Chance with the Dolphins

An ugly scene is unfolding in Miami. After Dolphins starting QB Chad Henne was knocked out of the game, rookie Pat White entered.

On one play at the end of the third quarter, he was leveled by a pair of Steelers defenders. He was down on the field for at least 15 minutes. Eventually he was carted off on a stretcher.

It looks to be pretty serious.

However, this also means Thigpen is coming in for the Dolphins. He's their emergency 3rd QB today.

The last snap he took while was as a Chief in week one against the Ravens.

The Dolphins are down 14 and Thigpen is in. He demonstrated with the Chiefs that he has the ability to make these games at least competitive. I imagine Thiggy gives them a shot.

Coverage is on CBS right now.
