Crennel Calls Coaching in East-West Game "Invaluable" for Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator is, as of this posting, in a battle with Marty Schottenheimer in the East-West Shrine Game. Crennel's squad has the lead 6-3 at halftime.

Walking off the field, ESPN's Quint Kessenich caught up with Crennel and asked him what this week-long experience means to him as he becomes the next defensive coordinator of the Chiefs.

"Well, you get a chance to look at some of the guys on defense and work with them closely to see what kind of focus they have, what kind of ability they have, how they work on the practice field as well as how they work in the classrooms.

"So, it will be invaluable for us."

Let's hope that translates to April's draft.
