Chiefs Got Two Players From East-West Shrine Game Last Year

The East-West Shrine game is becoming a bit of a Kansas City Chiefs affair with current defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel coaching the East squad and former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Marty Schottenheimer coaching the West squad.

In addition to that, both GM Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley have been spending time at the practices this week.

Especially with Crennel in there, I imagine there are a couple of future Chiefs on the roster.

Last season, the Chiefs acquired two players, via the draft and free agency, that were on the East-West Shrine game roster.

  • RB Javarris Williams (7th round draft pick)
  • WR Taurus Johnson (UDFA)

Williams is still on the team but Johnson is not.

Check out our draft interest tracker from last season and you'll notice there are a handful of players that the Chiefs worked out or were reportedly interested in that are on this list.

Here's a list of the roster for this season.
