Vegas Gaining Confidence in the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs opened their game against the Denver Broncos as 12.5 point underdogs. That's a pretty high number, in my humble, non-expert opinion, for this game. Division games, especially two rivals like the Chiefs and Broncos, is very difficult to predict with any certainty.

I think the Chiefs have just as good of a chance to keep this a competitive game in the final few minutes as they do to put out a game like the last time these two teams met.

Over the last few days, the line in Vegas has been dropping, which means a few folks are placing wagers on the Red and Gold.

Yesterday, news broke that WR Brandon Marshall would be out for the contest. That brought the point spread down to 11 points.

Today, word comes out that WR Eddie Royal and TE Tony Scheffler would be out as well.

Now the point spread is 10.

Let's just say that if you were one of those folks that put part of your paycheck on the Chiefs a couple of days ago with the spread at 12.5, you can't be feeling too bad right now.
