The Chargers are the 1990s Chiefs

In four of the last six seasons, the San Diego Chargers have had 12, 14, 11 and 13 win seasons. They've had what a lot of folks call the most talented roster in the AFC West, and possibly the entire NFL.

But that still doesn't translate to Super Bowl appearances.

Philip Rivers and the Chargers were eliminated from the postseason with an upset special courtesy of the New York Jets. The Chargers are the last AFC West team to be eliminated.

The goat of the night is Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding who had a similar night as a former Chiefs kicker who shall not be named.

So, let's get this straight. The Chargers have one of the best rosters in the NFL, win over 10 games on a regular basis, and are regularly touted as preseason favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Yet, they can't get it done in the playoffs.

We shall call them the Kansas City Chiefs from the 1990s.
