Former offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, Chan Gailey, is a candidate for the vacant offensive coordinator position with the Chicago Bears, according to Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Gailey worked under Herm Edwards in Kansas City but was "relieved of his duties" weeks before the season.
Gailey is reportedly close to Bears head coach Lovie Smith, a relationship likely enhanced with Gailey's connection to Edwards, another close friend of Smith.
There were also reports out there that Gailey was one of the finalists for the Houston Texans offensive coordinator position.
