How many reports would a reporter report if a reporter could report reports? Take that woodchuck!
In what has been a daily routine this week, another report has surfaced that Romeo Crennel to the Kansas City Chiefs is done.
"Finally confirmed, Romeo Crennel has agreed to join the Chiefs," Adam Caplan of Scout.com writes this morning. A few hours ago, Caplan reported that the deal was done, then backtracked saying it wasn't quite done. However, this time he reports it is complete.
(Confused yet?)
It seems like just about every major reporter has gotten in on the Crennel-to-KC action.
On January 3rd, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the Chiefs were "expected" to hire Crennel.
Then the New York media - Vinny DiTrani of the Bergen Record, Mike Garafalo of the Newark Star-Ledger and Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News - starting picking up on it.
Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network said as recently as yesterday that a deal isn't quite done, but it's expected to be.
Basically, if the deal isn't done someone is going to have a whole lot of explaining to do.
