Agent: Chiefs Haven't Offered Crennel a Job, Yet

Joe Linta, agent for Romeo Crennel, spoke with Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star last night and indicated that the Kansas City Chiefs have yet to formally offer a job to his client.

"Would he take it if they offered the job? I suppose he would," Linta told the Star.

Teicher also reports Chiefs head coach Todd Haley and Crennel have discussed the coordinator's position so, at the very least, that indicates Haley is ready to make a change. That also indicates that Crennel would be coming on as a coordinator, and not an assistant or some other defensive consultant position.

"First shot (goes) to the Chiefs if it works out," Linta said. " If not, four other (teams are) interested in him."

We've identified three of those four teams: The Giants, Redskins and Bills, according to reports.

Linta told Teicher that Crennel has spoken to the Giants about a position as well. This we knew according to various reports.

As of now, the ball is in the Chiefs court.
