One quick note on the value of Twitter: I was searching for some Chiefs news and found an entry from someone who said they saw Romeo Crennel in the Aruba airport about 15 hours ago. You can't even travel out of the country without someone looking for news on the defensive coordinator.
Romeo Crennel returns from vacation today and we should begin to get some insight on his future plans.
The two top candidates for his services are believed to be the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants, as well as mystery candidate.
The Giants are reportedly seeking an interview with him this week and, according to Crennel's agent Joe Linta, that meeting is expected to happen if a deal isn't done with another team beforehand.
It's been all quiet on the Chiefs front over the last couple weeks. Todd Haley said last week that neither he, nor GM Scott Pioli, had talked to Crennel about joining the Chiefs (but that doesn't mean they haven't talked to his agent).
Haley calls Crennel a friend, and admits to talking to him at times, but not about the joining the Chiefs.
Adam Schefter of ESPN continues to report, as recently as last Wednesday, that Crennel is expected to be hired by the Chiefs.
Stay tuned as we continue to wait on the Patriotization of the Chiefs.
