One of our commenters passed this along yesterday from Adam Schefter's Twitter page:
Giants were ultra Twitter friendly. Others? Not so much. Nine teams have banned practice tweets: Atl, Buf, Cin, Ind, KC, NE, NO, StL, Sea.
Justin Unell of NBC Action News confirms the Chiefs 'No Tweeting' from the practice field policy.
A Chiefs spokesman says media are not allowed to report live from the practice field in any fashion.
A league memo, however, encourages teams to allow tweeting during training camp practices.
Interesting stance. Despite the presence of a league memo encouraging the practice, why in the world would a team want potentially threatening information to be immediately reported? Or reported at all? Media outlets have different restrictions on their reporting in a traditional, newspaper-style format versus Tweeting.
What do you think of the Chiefs media restrictions on Twitter?
