The Kansas City Chiefs continued their training camp practice at the Truman Sports Complex. Lots of good updates today, including a good quote from Haley.
Here are some general highlights:
- Larry Johnson looked fine after missing yesterday's afternoon practice
- New players Alleman lined up at RG while Ndukwe lined up at RT

General stuff
- The new guards, Alleman and Ndukwe, spent most of practice looking over plays with coach Joe D'Alessandris (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- The players were in full pads again today (Bob Gretz at CBS Sports)
Offense
- Rudy Niswanger and Eric Ghiaciuc saw time with the first team at C (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Wade Smith saw time at C with the second team (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Dwayne Bowe started team period with the first team (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Devard Darling lined up with Bowe (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Brian Waters and Corey Mays collided on a big hit during a screen pass (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- The the blitz drill, the Chiefs were 7/13 passing with several dropped INTs by the defense (Bob Gretz at CBS Sports)
- Matt Cassel went 4/6 in leading the offense to a score in a two-minute drill (Bob Gretz at CBS Sports)
Defense
- The defense got lots of pressure on the QB during blitz drills (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Andy Studebaker and Tyson Jackson both made nice plays staying back on a bootleg (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Mike Vrabel broke up a screen pass by blowing up Jamaal Charles. Haley told the offense to run it again. When someone said the defense already knows the play he responded, "So what, make it work." (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Maurice Leggett had another INT (had one yesterday, too) and returned it for six (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
Special teams
- Field goal and kickoff teams were the emphasis today (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
Injuries
- Zach Thomas and Kolby Smith did not practice today (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
- Jake O'Connell left practice early because of some sort of leg injury (Josh Looney at the Mothership)
