The Greatest Kansas City Chief: #36

Stram_medium

Mack Lee Hill is the greatest Kansas City Chief to wear #36.

He came into the AFL as an rookie free agent.  His rookie season, he made the AFL All-Star Game after rushing for 567 yards on 105 carries.  Since we're so obsessed with stats at times, yes, that is over five yards per carry.

The following season he was injured in the 12th game against the Buffalo Bills.  He died during surgery after the game.

Today, his jersey number is retired and the Kansas City Chiefs name their rookie award after him.
