NFL Schedule Leaks; Chiefs to Host Giants in Week Four

Update: Chiefs full 2009 schedule is here

Mike Garafalo of the Newark-Star Ledger (via PFT) has gotten his hands on most of the New York Giants schedule.  This is interesting to Kansas City because the Chiefs will be playing the NFC East this season.

Garafalo is reporting that the Giants will travel to Kansas City in the fourth week of the 2009 NFL season.

This makes sense considering the Royals will be playing in Minnesota on that day (October 4th).

The Chiefs will likely be playing their first TWO games at home considering the Royals are out of town.  The Chiefs and Royals historically do not play on the same day (though it's been done before).

If we continue this theory that the Royals and Chiefs won't play on the same day then the schedule should start off like this:

Week 1: Home

Week 2: Home

Week 3: Away

Week 4: Home (Giants)

The NFL schedule will be released at 6:00 PM CST tonight (if not leaked earlier). You can view that in a variety of ways including ESPN, NFL Network, and of course we'll be posting the full schedule release here.

The Chiefs 2009 home and away opponents are after the jump.
