Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles Nominated for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week

It's about time Mr. Charles got some recognition. In response to his 25 carry, 154 yard effort against the Cleveland Browns, Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs has been nominated for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week award.

154 yards was yet another career high for Charles. The only problem?

The Chiefs defense.

The man the Chiefs couldn't stop, Jerome Harrison of the Browns, rushed for 286 yards and three touchdowns so he's all but assured of taking home the hardware on this one.

The other nominee was Jonathan Stewart of the Carolina Panthers who became the first player in 36 games to put up over 100 yards rushing against the Minnesota Vikings. He added two fourth quarter touchdowns as wel.

Big congratulations out to Charles for the nomination. It's well deserved.
