It's always nice to see the Kansas City Chiefs players continuing their tradition of being some of the most active members of the community. Around the holidays, it's important that there are folks like Jovan Belcher, Pierre Walters and Mike Vrabel around to give 400 or so kids a smile.
The Chiefs linebackers visited with kids from a variety of local agencies including Children’s Mercy Hospital, Della Lamb, Don Bosco, Marion Hope House, Spofford Home, and The Children’s Place.
"This is something that we all really enjoyed," noted Vrabel. "We joined together with Santa and handed out gifts to these special, special kids. They really seemed to have a blast and so did we. It really warms your heart to see just how much fun the kids had today."
I think this kind of stuff is pretty cool. The Chiefs players have families to be around during the holidays and they don't get much time off so it's pretty neat that they spend their time doing things like this.
Do you remember being younger and how cool it was to even see a Chiefs player? Imagine Mike Vrabel being your Santa Claus.
Nice work, Chiefs.
