The Kansas City Chiefs conducted practice this morning under much better weather conditions than yesterday. A few Chiefs missed practice with varying injuries from Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Oakland Raiders but the biggest one, in my mind, was Mike Vrabel's absence.
Vrabel worked out on the stationary bikes after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game.
He found himself on the injury report all of last week for an undisclosed hip injury. The injury on Sunday, though, was a knee and he was replaced by Andy Studebaker.
Other Chiefs missing practice include:
RB Dantrell Savage: He suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's game. His injury appears to be slightly more serious than others because the team signed RB/FB Tim Castille in his absence possibly hinting that his status for Sunday is in jeopardy.
G/C Andy Alleman: Not sure what his injury is he missed practice as well. He missed a short amount of time in the Jacksonville game for a knee injury. Wade Smith took his spot at right guard.
LB David Herron: He was out all of last week and did not participate in Sunday's game. He was jogging a little more so it appears he's at least progressing somewhat.
Other notes:
New member of the running backs Tim Castille was wearing No. 46.
Dwayne Bowe missed his first practice since being suspended four games yesterday.
These updates are coming from Bob Gretz and Josh Looney.
