Former OC Candidate May Become Wide Receivers Coach

Now this would be interesting:

Eric Price recently interviewed to become the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator but could join their coaching staff in a different capacity.

Price, the offensive coordinator at Texas-El Paso, might be joining the Chiefs as their wide receivers coach. The Chiefs’ first choice to become receivers coach, former UCLA coach Karl Dorrell, took a job with the Miami Dolphins.

The Chiefs recently hired Colorado State offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins as running backs coach and Bob Bicknell as offensive line coach. Modkins was running backs coach for Gailey at Georgia Tech. Bicknell was the Chiefs’ assistant offensive line coach last season.

You can already see Gailey asserting his independence by bringing in his running backs coach, as opposed to keeping on a very capable James Saxon. Coaches from high-scoring offenses always intrigue me, so if Eric Price comes on it should be a positive. Even in a limited role like WR coach, Herm obviously thinks highly of Price.
