The Dolphins Want Trent Green Back For Another Season

Remember Trent, its all roses until you get down to that whole restructuring contract thing.

Dolphins football operations chief Bill Parcells and General Manager Jeff Ireland have reached out to Green to express their interest in his return.

"There have been conversations about Trent returning, pending his health issues," Green's agent, Jim Steiner, said Monday night. "The conversations are just getting started, and they will be ongoing for quite some time.

Green has "got a huge passion for the game, and he's passing his medical tests 100 percent," Steiner said.

A couple of weeks ago, Trent Green said himself that he was ready to play again in 2008. Cam Cameron, fired from the Dolphins head coaching position earlier this month, was the one who originally lobbied for Trent to come to Miami.

As long as Trent Green is comfortable in a backup role, I don't see any reason he can't be a capable backup in Miami. My own ominous feelings aside, Trent Green more than likely still has "it" if he's chomping at the bit to come back and play.
