Chiefs Add WR Tyrone Timmons to the Practice Squad

New, comment

From the official site:

Timmons (6-3, 219) was a four-year letterman at Mississippi Valley State where he played in 34 games. He concluded his collegiate career with 148 receptions for 2,285 yards (15.4 avg.) with 17 TDs. As a junior, he produced a career-high 62 catches for 1,059 yards (17.1 avg.) with eight TDs.

The Tampa, Florida native was a two-sport star at Tampa Bay Technical High School. Timmons became the first quarterback in 31 years to lead the high school to back-to-back playoff appearances.

WR William Buchanon, who replaced WR Brent Little a week ago on the practice squad, was dropped. The Chiefs are looking for something particular in the WR position and obviously haven't found it yet. No Bobby Sippio so far this season. How are we supposed to rave about the guy if he never gets to play?

It has to be pretty horrible for these PS guys. Each time they're signed, if more than once, you know their family goes crazy. Only to have their hopes dashed a week or two later and the emotional rollercoaster continue.
