Lamar Hunt to be Honored Today in Washington

From the official site:

Congressman Emanuel Cleaver will introduce a resolution today before the U.S. House of Representatives "Honoring the Life of Lamar Hunt."

The late Mr. Hunt’s son, Clark Hunt, who serves as Chairman of the Board of the Kansas City Chiefs, will represent his family in special ceremonies in Washington, DC. Also in attendance will be Willie Lanier, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a former Chiefs linebacker, Troy Vincent, NFL Players Association president, and members of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas congressional delegations. House majority leader Steny Hoyer is expected to co-present a copy of the bill to Hunt family.

Congressman Cleaver will host a reception in the House Financial Services Committee hearing room located in the Rayburn Office Building beginning at 5:30 PM.

Another fitting tribute for a man who every football fan should know.
