Morning Update

  • We have another interesting tidbit about Trent Green and Miami. Apparently, Trent Green plans on attending the Chief's OTAs (organized team activities) on Monday. If he suffers a season ending injury during this time, the Chiefs owe him his entire 2007 salary, $7.2 million. Like the article says, all the more reason to get this deal done.

  • Naturally, Len Dawson was the reader's choice at Arrowhead Addict for the greatest Chiefs QB of all time.

  • Chiefs Fanatic says its about time for Samie Parker to get his ass in gear.

  • And the Royals won.
One interesting thing going on in Missouri this week is the possible passage of a bill that would legalize some forms of ticket scalping. Before you jump up, you will still not be able to sell tickets outside of a stadium. Basically, this would allow for the legal selling of tickets above their face value. I'm not sure of the exact Missouri statute but I believe that there is a cap on the price you can resell a ticket at and this passage/repeal (however you want to look at it) would allow NFL teams to sell their fan's unused tickets over their websites. Think of legalized scalping without the crummy parking lot outside the stadium.

Anybody catch Larry Johnson on the Best Damn Sports Show last night? He said he loves KC and that leaving would be a "last resort". I found him to be genuine in his answers to the BDSSP crew. Couple that with LJ's appearance on the Jim Rome show a couple of days ago and it looks like LJ is on a "I love KC" publicity tour. I'll take him if he wants to stay.
