Browns Pushing Ahead with Plans for Trent Green

The Cleveland-Trent Green saga is still at the official point of Browns GM Phil Savage casually asking Carl Peterson about Trent Green. Phil Savage put it best in his own words this morning on Cleveland radio:

"The situation is probably somewhere between having a pulse and being able to walk," Savage said on the Browns' AM radio flagship, WTAM.

Savage outlined the process that could bring to Cleveland a quarterback who averaged 4,221 passing yards in the three seasons from 2003-05.

The starting point, he said, is negotiating a "ballpark" contract that would entice Green to visit the Browns complex to gauge his willingness to playing in Cleveland.

So this appears to be more than just a passing fancy for the Browns and Trent Green. If Trent does end up Cleveland, he better beat the crap out of Derek Anderson for that 30 yard run against us last year.
